How do you pronounce swamiji?

Translated into Greek as swamigal (σουαμιγκάλ)! I am sure that the translator was not aware that swamiji is a respectful title for a guru.

Namaste, swami Spiro! (how's that for Hindi?)

If you like blunders, my favourites are "arson was suspected" translated as if "Arson" was a person's name ("υποπτεύθηκαν τον Άρσον" αντί για "υποπτεύθηκαν εμπρησμό") and "mercury" (υδράργυρος) translated as "hermion" (έρμιο) taking the greek equivalent of the god Mercury, which is Hermes, and adding an appropriate ending. Both cases from greek state television. Where knowledge fails, imagination takes over!
